COMISSIONED PROGRAMME: EMOTIONAL LUGGAGE & ROBOTS
COMMISSIONED PROGRAMME: EMOTIONAL LUGGAGE & ROBOTS
The sound produced when dragging a suitcase resembles a concerto composed by the people and the cities.
The artwork Emotional Luggage by musician hirsk referred suitcases as the stylus of a turntable, which produce sounds through interpreting landscapes—they are musical instruments that roam around the cities. Keith Lam, the curator of the Sensory Transcode exhibition, specially invited hirsk for a collaborative performance. Robots and the “emotional luggage” come together to deliver a stimulating experience by using different forms of lights, to explore, focus and envelop humans and machines in complete darkness.
